colonist is a remote-first company building a platform for people to design and build their own homes. We're a team of passionate individuals who believe that everyone deserves a home that is tailored to their needs and preferences. As a Product Designer at colonist, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of our platform and helping us achieve our mission of making home design more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
> CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop user interface and user experience (UI/UX) for the colonist platform, including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and research to ensure design solutions meet business and user needs
- Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience
> HARD REQUIREMENTS & SPECS
- 3+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio that showcases your work
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and user experience design patterns
